It ends with us

 NOVEL REVIEW- “SPOILERS”

“IT ENDS WITH US” was so much more than a simple boy-meets-girl story. “It Ends With Us” is a heartbreaking tale about domestic abuse and violence with a heartbreakingly necessary ending. The book delves into the dark side of relationships and how we tend to forget and  forgive a person again and again until we find ourselves in a vicious cycle of abuse .

Lily , initially, never understood why her mom gave so many chances to her father and never considered to move out but later when she found herself in the same position with Ryle , she got to know that why it is not always easy for a victim to leave the person who abuse them because the person hurting you is the same person you love the most.

From the very beginning, Lily captivates readers with her authenticity and relatability. As a young woman striving to create a life of her own, her dreams and aspirations resonate deeply. Lily’s genuine nature and compassion are evident as she navigates the challenges of adulthood, and her vulnerability becomes a bridge for readers to connect with her story. Lily’s journey through love is far from conventional.

Her relationship with Ryle Kincaid is a rollercoaster of emotions, unveiling both the beauty and complexity of human connections. Through her experiences, Hoover portrays the ways in which love can uplift and wound, leaving a profound impact on one’s sense of self and understanding of relationships. Lily’s past is marked by the shadows of abuse, a reality that she is determined to overcome. As she grapples with her history, readers witness her unwavering resolve to break the cycle of abuse and create a better future for herself. Lily’s courage to confront her past showcases her strength and determination to carve her own path, regardless of the challenges she face.

Ryle Kincaid stands as a character who elicits a myriad of emotions.Ryle Kincaid, a successful neurosurgeon, is introduced as a charismatic and confident individual. On the surface, he embodies the epitome of success and self-assuredness. However, as the layers of Ryle’s character are peeled away, readers are exposed to the fragility that exists beneath the façade.

Hoover in “IT ENDS WITH US”deftly navigates the complexities of Ryle’s personality, revealing vulnerabilities that contrast with his initial image. As a reader, I was rooting for ryle , initially and he deserved a benefit of doubt due to his past trauma but the cycle of aggression imposed by him on lily over time cannot be justified. His kindness juxtaposed with moments of aggression creates an unsettling duality that mirrors real-life complexity.

Ryle  hurting lily just because of his suspicion over atlas made a view point about how we are blinded by jealousy and anger and hurt the person we love the most.Ryle suffered the consequences of his actions which he truly deserved and it is truly said that “when people fall out of love with you, there is nothing you can do to make them change their minds , they just don’t love you anymore“.

Ryle did things that he can never take back and lily even though wanted to accept Ryle even after his mistakes but she could not because for once she had to choose herself .True strength of lily is potrayed ,when she make a decision for herself in her most vulnerable situation.Lily was a true potrayal of a naive , kind , forgiving, strong and independent woman.

Atlas has my whole heart. From the moment Atlas reenters Lily Bloom’s life, readers are drawn to his mysterious aura. His history intertwines with Lily’s in a way that sparks curiosity and nostalgia, setting the stage for an exploration of their shared past and the unforeseen future that awaits them. Atlas represents the embodiment of second chances and the potential for growth, both individually and as a couple.

Atlas’s character serves as a stark contrast to the complexities of Lily’s romantic relationships. His ability to empathize with Lily’s experiences and offer unconditional support creates a safe space for her to confront her past and explore her emotions. Through his actions, Atlas reminds readers that genuine empathy has the power to facilitate healing and empower others to overcome their traumas.

As the narrative unfolds, Atlas emerges as a lifeline of hope for Lily, a beacon that guides her towards self-discovery and healing. His presence encourages her to face her fears and confront the demons of her past. Atlas embodies the idea that sometimes, the right person at the right time can ignite a spark of resilience and inner strength, enabling individuals to break free from the chains that bind them.

Atlas’s role goes beyond a mere love interest,he symbolizes the enduring connection between two individuals who share a history and an unspoken understanding. His return into Lily’s life rekindles their shared memories and highlights the significance of relationships that withstand the tests of time and circumstance.

ATLAS ,IN TRUE SENSE WAS THE PERFECT MAN THAT DESERVED LILY AND NOT ONLY HE LOVED HER BUT RESPECTED HER AND BELIEVED IN HER WHEN SHE WAS UNABLE TO.

WE ALL GO THROUGH HARD TIMES BECAUSE WELL, LIFE HAPPENS.

PENNING DOWN A POEM THAT RESONATES WITH LILY’S STORY-

THE HAUNTING HIT –

In nightmares and sleepless nights,
All I remember is the fights,
Red as rose but the rage of fire, I didn’t do what you desired,
And after all these years , I look back on my mistakes,
But they compare to nothing to that of your fierce gaze,
You hit me, but I bet the main victim was your soul,
The pain is numbed now,
which once consumed my whole,
Now it is all in the past,
I promised myself that, that humiliation was my last,
It’s haunting when your protector becomes the one you fear,
I guess, I was my only saviour.
