VIVEK RAMASWAMY – Healer or a double dealing twister?

In contemporary world where America stands at crossroads of dilemma not only in global affairs but internal too, whether to trust the big elephant or ride the donkey. The last elections mirrored the polarization of the American society when the violent mob stormed the US Capitol building on January 6 2021, threatening the peaceful transfer of power.

Vivek Ramaswamy offers a new perspective and a different bigger picture about his “AMERICA FIRST POLICY”. Describing himself as ‘apolitical‘ from 2008 to 2016 ,now Ramaswamy have chosen to side with the republicans. Ramaswamy’s parents migrated to the US from Kerala . He was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended Harvard University for his under graduation . He also got a law degree from Yale University. He led the largest biotech IPOs of 2015 to 2016.  In 2022, he launched Strive Asset Management, focused on restoring the voices of everyday citizens in the American economy and encouraging excellence over politics.

PROMOTING POST -TRUMP CONSERVATISM

Ramaswamy has been vocal about his policy of de- coupling from china and has openly described Xi Jing ping as the dictatorship of china and stands for the economic independence from china but de-hyphenating USA-china trade relations is miles away and this pipe dream of Ramaswamy is nothing different from the idea of utopian society.

The “Anti – Wokeism ” stand of Ramaswamy will put the republicans in thinking as the movements like #black lives matter cannot be overlooked and the racism and discrimination in American society is a real thing . The denial of the third gender is another controversial stand as he mentioned “The LGBTQ+ community is an alphabet soup that has created a tyranny of the minority”.

Standing firm on his ground, Ramaswamy is campaigning on ridding corporate boardrooms from the social and environmental responsibilities, which is quite unsettling and worrisome for the global climate dynamics.

In an interview, Ramaswamy said he’s “not a climate denier”. He says the goal of limiting carbon emissions is “flawed” and that “people should be proud to live a high-carbon lifestyle.” He said “we have a far better chance” of growing out of the problem “than trying to engineer the climate itself.” Ramaswamy is walking over a thin rope while addressing the problem but also denying the climate crisis and tagging it as ‘ the new normal’. He also sees climate activism as one of three “secular religions” that is eating America alive.

The conservative nature of policies of Ramaswamy are no different from his republican predecessor. rather it is the reused form of “America first policy” with new packaging .It is yet to be seen whether he will be the new face to republicans or just a background character with pipe dreams .
